Four Pillars of Sustainability

Our environmental strategy is built on measurable goals and transparent reporting.

Circular Economy

98%
material recovery rate

Every pallet that enters our facility is evaluated for reuse, repair, recycling, or material recovery. Nothing goes to waste without exhausting every option.

Carbon Reduction

840
tons CO₂ prevented annually

By extending pallet lifecycles and reducing demand for new lumber, we prevent significant carbon emissions from manufacturing and deforestation.

Resource Conservation

12.4K
trees preserved to date

Each recycled pallet saves approximately 3.5 board feet of lumber, 7 gallons of water, and 1.5 kWh of energy compared to manufacturing new.

Zero Landfill

0
pallets sent to landfill

Pallets that can't be reused are broken down into mulch, animal bedding, or biomass fuel. Our goal is zero landfill contribution by 2027.

The Pallet Lifecycle

1

Collection

We pick up used pallets from warehouses, distribution centers, and retailers across Southern California.

2

Sorting & Grading

Each pallet is inspected and classified by condition: Grade A (like new) through Grade D (recycling only).

3

Repair & Refurbish

Repairable pallets receive new boards, fasteners, and structural reinforcement to meet quality standards.

4

Redistribution

Restored pallets are sold to businesses at a fraction of new pallet costs, completing the circle.

5

Material Recovery

End-of-life pallets are dismantled. Wood becomes mulch or biomass; nails are melted for new steel.

Our Carbon Math

We believe sustainability claims should be backed by transparent numbers. Here is exactly how we calculate the carbon impact of every recycled pallet.

1 recycled pallet = 11.5 lbs CO₂ prevented

Based on lifecycle analysis of a standard 48 × 40 GMA pallet

Avoided lumber processing

Skipping kiln-drying, sawing, and planing of virgin timber

6.2 lbsCO₂
Avoided new-lumber transportation

Eliminating cross-country freight from Pacific Northwest mills

2.8 lbsCO₂
Avoided landfill methane

Preventing anaerobic decomposition in landfills that produces CH₄

2.5 lbsCO₂
Total per pallet
6.2 + 2.8 + 2.5 = 11.5 lbs

Annual Impact at Scale

130,000 pallets × 11.5 lbs = 1,495,000 lbs

That is approximately 679 metric tons of CO₂ prevented every year — equivalent to taking 148 cars off the road.

Sustainability Partners

Real environmental impact requires collaboration. We work with a network of partners across Southern California to maximize diversion and minimize emissions.

Waste Haulers

We coordinate collection routes with regional waste haulers to consolidate pickups, reduce fuel consumption, and ensure pallets are diverted before reaching landfill transfer stations.

Local Municipalities

We support Orange County cities and businesses with AB 1826 organic-waste compliance by providing documented pallet-wood diversion that counts toward mandated recycling targets.

Manufacturing Partners

Closed-loop pallet return programs with local manufacturers let us pick up spent pallets the same day we deliver refurbished ones — cutting trips and emissions in half.

Community Organizations

We donate clean wood mulch to community gardens, partner with local schools on recycling education programs, and sponsor Anaheim neighborhood clean-up events.

Our 2030 Commitments

We have set aggressive but achievable milestones across operations, energy, fleet, and materials innovation. These targets are publicly tracked and independently verified.

99.5% waste diversion rate

by 2027

Moving from 98% to near-total material recovery through improved sorting technology and new biomass partnerships.

50% renewable energy at our facility

by 2026

Rooftop solar array installation is underway at our Anaheim processing yard, expected online Q3 2026.

50% electric fleet

by 2028

Transitioning pickup and delivery trucks to electric vehicles, starting with short-haul routes across Orange County.

Full carbon neutrality

by 2030

Combining operational reductions with verified carbon offsets to reach net-zero across our entire value chain.

Ocean plastic pallet R&D

by 2026

Piloting composite pallets made with recovered ocean-bound plastic, partnering with materials science labs in Southern California.

Transparent Supply Chain

Sustainability without traceability is just marketing. We give every customer full visibility into where their pallets come from, how they are processed, and the environmental benefit their purchase creates.

End-to-End Pallet Tracking

Every pallet is tracked from the moment it is collected through sorting, processing, and final delivery. Our internal system assigns a unique ID so customers can verify the full chain of custody.

Recycling Documentation

We provide certified recycling documentation for every order, giving your sustainability team the data it needs for ESG reporting, LEED credits, and corporate responsibility disclosures.

Quarterly Impact Reports

Enterprise customers receive quarterly environmental impact reports detailing pallets diverted, CO₂ prevented, lumber conserved, and water saved — broken down by account.
