2024 was our biggest year yet. Here's a look at what we accomplished together with our customers and partners — not just numbers on a page, but real environmental impact and business value delivered to the community we serve.
Pallets processed: 130,000+ — up 33% from 2023. Every one of these pallets was diverted from a potential landfill destination. If stacked end to end, they'd stretch from Anaheim to San Francisco. That growth wasn't just about volume — it represented dozens of new business relationships and expanded partnerships with existing customers.
CO₂ prevented: 728 metric tons — equivalent to taking 158 cars off the road or planting 12,000 trees. This number represents both the avoided manufacturing emissions (from using recycled instead of new) and the avoided landfill methane (from diverting wood waste from decomposition in landfills).
Waste diversion rate: 98% — meeting our ambitious target set in 2022. Only 2% of materials we received couldn't be repurposed. We tracked this metric daily throughout the year, investigating every batch that didn't meet target. The consistency of this number across all four quarters gives us confidence it's sustainable.
Customer growth: We welcomed 47 new business customers this year, bringing our active customer base to over 200 companies across Southern California. Industries served range from food distribution and manufacturing to retail, e-commerce, and logistics. Our customer retention rate exceeded 95%, which we attribute to consistent quality and reliable service.
Cost savings delivered: We estimate our customers collectively saved over $1.2 million in 2024 by using recycled pallets instead of new. That's not counting the additional savings from eliminated disposal costs and revenue from used pallet sales. Real money returned to our customers' bottom lines.
New capabilities: We added a second automated sorting line, expanded our plastic pallet inventory, and launched our pallet exchange program. The new sorting line increased our processing capacity by 40%, while the exchange program has become our fastest-growing service offering.
Community impact: We participated in 6 local sustainability events, hosted tours for 3 school groups, donated mulch to 2 community garden projects in Anaheim, and mentored 4 young entrepreneurs through the OC Small Business Development Center. Giving back to our community isn't a side project — it's part of who we are.
Team growth: We added 8 new team members in 2024, bringing our total workforce to 28. We invested in skills training, safety certifications, and competitive compensation to attract and retain the best people in our industry. Our employee retention rate of 92% reflects a workplace culture we're proud of.
Thank you to every customer, partner, and team member who made 2024 possible. We're heading into 2025 with ambitious goals and the infrastructure to achieve them. Target: 170,000 pallets processed, 99% waste diversion rate, and continued expansion of services to meet our customers' evolving needs.
